A beautiful Victorian period ring dating to c. 1880 featuring an oval cabochon of carnelian in a raised basket setting with bright cut designs on the sides of the band. The craftsmanship is excellent on this antique ring, please view all of the photographs. The cabochon measures 18 mm by 10.5 mm and the ring rises 8.5 mm above the finger. A beautifully made c. 1860's or possibly earlier figural pin in the form of flower. Made by hand by a skilled jeweler this piece exhibits fine craftsmanship and is comprised of 18K yellow gold with bright cut leaves with fine milgraining and six oval faceted rhodolite garnets of deep purple color, one comprising a bud nestled between the leaves and below the five petaled flower that has a gold and pearl center.
